Stay Safe Shred Aquires PRIDE Industries' Shred and Recycle Business
Stay Safe Solutions announced today that its affiliate company, Stay Safe Shred and Recycle, has purchased the document destruction business line from PRIDE Industries, significantly increasing its document shredding and recycling services statewide. Shredding is the most common way to simply and securely protect highly sensitive information for organizations and businesses of all sizes.

Stay Safe Shred and Recycle is certified by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID), which establishes standards for a secure destruction process. Stay Safe Shred and Recycle provides a confidential, cost-effective solution – with the ability to destroy documents at customer sites or at its own facility – and recycles 100 percent of the shredded remains.

“Professional shredding and recycling is increasingly important to all types of organizations that need to protect their data,” said Ken Shoemake, CEO of Stay Safe Solutions. “Companies can’t risk having highly sensitive information about operational security, employee hiring and screening or intellectual property end up in the wrong hands. By adding PRIDE Industries’ document shredding and recycling equipment and customers, Stay Safe Shred and Recycle will be able to help ensure that a greater number of businesses statewide can rest assured that their sensitive information has been properly destroyed.”

Additionally, as a member of the Secure Document Alliance (SDA), Stay Safe Shred and Recycle is positioned to service document destruction contracts on a national basis. PRIDE Industries began partnering with Stay Safe Shred and Recycle, a service-disabled/veteran-owned small business, more than five years ago. As part of the transaction, PRIDE Industries has also sold its shred and recycling service vehicles and equipment to Stay Safe Shred and Recycle. Employees of the PRIDE Industries document destruction business will become Stay Safe employees, ensuring the maximum consistency of service to its customers. No other terms of the deal are being disclosed.

“Stay Safe Shred and Recycle has successfully partnered with PRIDE and shared in our social mission for several years,” said Mauro Lara, PRIDE Vice President of Operations. “When PRIDE decided to exit this line of business, Stay Safe Shred and Recycle was the only company we considered to take over our business.”
